Processing Time

Orders are usually dispatched within 2–3 working days after purchase.
We’ll notify you once your order has been shipped. Please note that during busy periods or for larger orders, dispatch may take a little longer — but we’ll always do our best to keep you informed.

Shipping Methods & Rates

We ship all orders from our bookshop in Glasgow, Scotland.
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and delivery method.

UK Orders

Sent via Royal Mail or an equivalent courier.
Estimated delivery: 2–5 working days after dispatch.

International Orders

Sent via Royal Mail International Standard or tracked courier services where available.
Estimated delivery: 7–21 working days, depending on location.
Buyers are responsible for any customs fees, import taxes, or duties applied by their country.

Packaging

Each book is individually wrapped and packaged to ensure it arrives safely. We often reuse and recycle packaging materials where possible — it’s better for the planet, and keeps costs down for you.

Lost or Delayed Orders

If your order hasn’t arrived within the expected timeframe, please get in touch with us at admin@voltaireandrousseaubooks.com and include your order number. We’ll do our best to locate your parcel and resolve the issue.

Local Collection

If you’re nearby, you can select Click & Collect at checkout to pick up your order directly from our shop in Glasgow. We’ll email you when it’s ready for collection.
