We stock a wide range of second-hand and antiquarian books on a wide range of subjects including fiction, classical studies, Scottish history; natural history; theology, Scottish, English and World literature; philosophy; the sciences; literary criticism; military history; sheet music; art; comics and a wide range of student texts.

We also have a large collection of rare books, manuscripts, maps, records and hundreds of curiosities from Scotland’s past.

Our bookshop can be found in the Otago Lane, a tiny bohemian pocket in Hillhead, five minutes walk from the University of Glasgow and Kelvingrove Park. Once a home for horses, blacksmiths and workshops, Otago Lane is now also home to a record shop, vintage store, tea room and clockmaker’s workshop.

Otago lane is in the heart of the West end, and is easily reachable by bus (No. 4 and No. 6/6A) and by subway (Kelvinbridge station is five minutes away on foot).
