(Ref.F5 ) Half brown leather bound to light brown cloth boards. Four band raised spine. Gilt spine titles and tooling. Spine hinges cracked and starting to split at upper left side and lower right side. Rubbing to corners and edges. Some earlier faded damp-staining to front right board edge and a few marks, nicks and scuffs. Foxing to prelims. Damp-staining to prelim, lower outer page corners. Pages 59-62 are loosened. Page edges a little yellowed throughout with one or two odd smudges and foxes else main contents are good and complete. Profusely illustrated in B&W with portrait plates of renowned scientists, chemists, professors at rear.
