Commentaries on the Law of Scotland Respecting the Description and Punishment of Crimes Volumes 1 and 2. Published 1797 and thus first editions. Bound in full leather, previous signs of repair to the spine gutters. Spine has at some point been glued to the book block. Boards heavily scratched and worn. Binding nonetheless feels sound and strong, and the book is remarkably clean and bright internally.


Commentaries on the Law of Scotland Respecting Trial for Crimes volumes 1 and 2. Published 1800 and thus first editions. Insect damage to opening pages, front board detached.
