Acceptable condition, two volumes from 1795 and 1797 in non-matching bindings.
VOLUME 1: significant wear and staining to covers and spine, but binding holding shape firmly. Paper residue from inside cover rubbed on to first few pages, inscription to ffep, occasional foxing, tanning to page ends, occasional margin lines in coloured pencil. Rough cut pages of differing lengths, slightly wavy.
VOLUME 2 rebound in leather, some mild staining to covers, corners of boards slightly bent. Inscription to front free endpaper. Partial foxing. Pages up to 8 have had their botttoms ripped out and replaced with handwritten text (pictured). Sparse pencil markings. Pink stain to sides of late pages. Straight cut pages, also slightly wavy.
