A set of both Fowler's Commercial Directory of the Principal Towns and Villages in the Upper Ward of Renfrewshire for 1830-31' and 'Fowler's Commercial Directory of the Lower Ward of Renfrewshire 1834-45'. Good condition.
'Lower Ward of Renfrewshire' is bound in hardboard with a leather spine, and with the original cardboard cover integrated into the front cover. The boards are showing signs of wear and age (as pictured). The book block is secure, but the back board is coming loose from the spine. Internal foxing and staining is minimal and confined to the opening pages. Previous owner ex-libris stamp. Pages 35-40 torn away.
'Upper Ward of Renfrewshire' has been rebound into stamped brown leather, with the original cardboard cover integrated into the book block. Again, the book block itself is tight, but the front cover is coming away from the spine. Previous owner ex-libris stamp and an inscription on interleaf. Again, any wear is confined to the opening pages, and the inner leaves are quite clean.
