Volumes 3 and 4 are dated 1711, but Volumes 1 and 2 have had the last two numerals crossed out and thus cannot be dated, but are obviously early editions. An inscription from a previous owner states that these are also 1711 editions, but this may not be true. Our price reflects the books' condition and this uncertainty.
Generally good to acceptable condition for their age, binding appears to be early 19th century. Spine on vol. IV has been glued at some point, and front board is beginning to detach. Binding is quite worn, especially on the spines, and the gutters are beginning to crack in places. Board corners rubbed, Please inspect photographs carefully. Internally the books are clean and only slightly tanned. More photographs and information on request.
