Spine hinges beginning to crack especially near head and heel. Crack down centre of spine Vol.II. Some chips and small loss to head and heel of both volumes. Vol.I has creasing down centre of spine. Centre of gilt spine titles partially rubbed away. Very small sticker residue to base of spine Vol. II. Previous owner's ex-libris label to both front paste-downs. Some foxing to prelims and very occasionally and faintly to page edges elsewhere . However generally very good contents with no marking. Marbled page edges somewhat greyed. Complete with tipped in facsimile of a hand-written letter by Allan Ramsay.
